New Sodmy was formed in March 2001 by ex-Arege bassist YOU, who recruited former Lareine members Kamijo and Mayu. Ex-Blue-B guitarist Aya was then invited to round out the band. Their songs had a harder edge and all around rock sound that Lareine's songs often didn't.

Mayu left New Sodmy in March 2002. The group disbanded after their last live on August 26th & 27th,2002.

Aya & You are now in the band Glamorous Honey. Aya changed his stage name to K after joining Glamorous Honey. .
