Toytronica, is another side of indie that has popped up recently (late '90's) and has caused a bit of a stir. A form of electronica made with toys and toy instruments, the UK duo Psapp are often credited as having created this interesting sound. Also could be related to the electronic music label Toytronic of the same period. From which artist such as Gimmik and Mr. Projectile released some of their first records. The labels artists all shared a similar sound of electronica which could have led to the term being used for other similar sounding artists on different labels. .
