Click-Hop [also "glitch-hop", etc.] is most often considered a subgenre of Glitch, a genre in which finely-chopped samples are substituted for more conventional percussion sounds, lending a disjointed, futuristic and very digital sound to the music. Where Click-Hop differentiates itself is in the attention paid to influences from Hip-Hop, e.g. tempo, particular rhythms and the sampling of MCs [which, again, are often finely-chopped and therefore unintelligible]. Some of the more notable contributors to this genre include Dabrye, Prefuse 73, Cex, Kid 606, Flying Lotus and, recently, Autechre. .
