There are two bands with the name ELEFANTE and one with the name Elephante that redirects here for some reason. One is from Uruguay and the other is from Mexico. (Uruguayan) Elefante was one of Uruguay's leading rock bands in the 90's, formed in Montevideo. The original lineup consisted of STELLA MARIS (voice), BESTIA (guitar), HARRY (bass), CHONIUK (drums), and MANECO (guitar and samplers). Valefar was an obscure Lithuanian black metal band, formed by members of Anubi and Nahash. The band has ceased to be in existence, in actuality. After leaving Suárez (her band from the 1990s) Rosario Bléfari began a solo project with the release of a disc called "Cara" in 2001. Soon after she formed a band with Andrea Di Nápoli, Pablo Cordova and Maria Ezquiaga (now in Rosal). With them she recorded "Estaciones" produced by Diego Vainer and published by the Feliz Año Nuevo label. As of 2005 the band has changed formation with addition of guitarist Javier Marta.
