BIOGRAPHY Because of such basic desires like free beer, free access to concerts and simple boredom, the band "Pestpocken" was founded. In search of a room to rehearse in, Stine´s room was the first choice. After many rehearsals, calls of annoyed neighbors and other stuff, the Pestpocken found their new home in the wet and dark cellar of the AK-44 in Giessen. Some of the highlights of the band´s existence were the tours with the Casualties 2000, Tension 2001,and the gigs with G.B.H.1997 in Mannheim, the Rotten Boi!s in Milano 2003 and especially the Pestpocken/Bad Nasty record-releaseparty with Skarface, Charge...
Hästpojken is a pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden that started out as a duo consisting of Martin Elisson (formerly singer of Bad Cash Quartet) and Lars "Poplars" Malmros (formerly drums in Broder Daniel). During the fall of 2007 the band opened for Sahara Hotnights in their Swedish tour. Their first single "Shane MacGowan" became a MySpace/radio hit, and Hästpojken ("The Horse Boy") released their debut album "Caligula" in January 2008. Poplars left the band because of personal reasons in April and Nico Janco (of Whyte Seeds) replaced him. The band is no longer a duo either, due to "live members"...
Ghostpoet (born Obaro Ejimiwe, 18 January 1983) is a Mercury Music Prize Nominee from Coventry, UK, raised somewhere between London, Coventry, Nigeria and Dominica. A free EP entitled 'The Sound of Strangers' sidled into the public domain in June 2010. It gained him a coveted spot in The Guardian's "New Band of the Day" feature and a record contract with Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings imprint. In August of 2004, Westpoint cemented their current line up with the addition of singer Mordy Harroch, ending a grueling audition process that had spanned 14 months and over 50 auditions.
