The Pettyfords were formed in the summer of 1996 by Roy Murakami, Cavan Nohara and Jeremy Rhode. Three bored high school kids with a passion for the same thing: Pop punk music. Countless hours were spent in drummer, Roy Murakami's, living room trying to fine tune some songs before the school year began. Lucky for the Pettyfords, Roy's parents were kind enough to let them practice there just as long as we cleaned the place up after we were finished. The band started out playing Screeching Weasel and Scared Of Chaka covers before diving into the depths of "ORIGINAL MUSIC"....

They have a vast back catalogue of demo’s and have released 3 official EP’s, “Singularity” on 12th July 2010, “Continuum” on 15th January 2011 and “Eventuality” on 5th December 2011. Thomas Earl Petty (20 October 1950 - 2 October 2017) was an American musician, singer, composer and songwriter best known for fronting Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Apart from the band, he released three solo albums: "Full Moon Fever" (1989), "Wildflowers" (1994) and "Highway Companion" (2006).
