Loin started on 2005, As Pavel Colon and Jottin Lugo duo/project. Later Mitchell Cabrera joined as lead guitar, but due to musical differences he decided to leave the group before the first album release. On 2006 Loin prepared their album debut. "The Cup & People" . This was their first attempt for the band, the album contains 6 tracks of experimental rock self-produced by Loin. This EP was released on 22 August 2006. Loin new album is called "Hypnotized", released on Spring 2010. .

Loinen (parasite in Finnish) traffic in "nihilist sludge core" and while that may be true, they do manage to add some interesting little sonic twists to what could be just another tarpit trudge through a downtuned wasteland. The core sound is of course familiar, crumbling downtuned and ultra distorted guitars, churning riffs, pounding drums, and the glacial groove of dual bass crunch and drum pound makes up the framework of this whole disc, but Loinen, take a few liberties. Illoin (aka Andrew Ryan) is a hybrid music project from Philadelphia, PA which utilizes accordion, live drums, sequenced electronics, pianos, vibraphones, organs, and sparse vocals to create dynamic emotional electronic music. While all the sounds suggest a simple tinkering, something happening just under a sheet of roaring noise, the music remains quite subtle. Drums click, clack and stutter beneath pillows while bass melodies squeeze their way out. The recording "Pinafore", a careful synthesis of IDM beats and watery guitars, is a stark and simultaneously lush collection of songs.
