Motion City Soundtrack is a pop-punk band which includes members Joshua Cain (guitar), Justin Pierre (vocals/guitar), Jesse Johnson (Moog), Matthew Taylor (bass), and Claudio Rivera (drums). Following their high-school graduation, Minneapolis, MN natives Pierre and Cain -- both of whom were inspired by Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, the Flaming Lips, and Superchunk -- formed the band in 1999. The pair assembled a temporary lineup and issued a self-released 7" that same year. Groundtruther is an Avant-Jazz project comprised of Bobby Previte on drums and electronics, Charlie Hunter on his 8-stringed guitar, and a rotating third spot, different for each release. There are a total of three albums under the Groundtruther banner: 2004's Latitude featured saxophonist Greg Osby filling the third seat, 2005's Longitude featured DJ Logic, and 2007's Altitude featured keyboardist John Medeski. Groundtruther's albums have been released on Thirsty Ear records and fit in well with the experimental jazz nature of this label. .

Fieldtree were an punk rock band active in the mid/late 90's from Detroit, Michigan. They released a self-titled 7'' on Lonely Kid Records, a 7'' entitled "Fleas In His Collar" on Winter Records and a split 7'' with Corel on Schoolcraft Records.
