Acid Black Cherry is the solo project of YASU (born January 27, 1975), the vocalist of the j-rock band Janne Da Arc. Their first single, "SPELL MAGIC," released July 18, 2007, contained two tracks. For this project, YASU has teamed up with SHUSE (ex-La'cryma Christi) on bass, guitarists YUKI (ex-/\ucifer), Akihide (BREAKERZ) and Chisato (PENICILLIN) and Jun-ji (ex-Siam Shade) on drums. SUGIZO (ex-LUNA SEA) and DAITA (ex-Siam Shade) have also participated in recording a few tracks for the project. A few of their members have appeared elsewhere, but for the most part their public appearances (and subsequent popularity) have been limited.
