河合その子 (Kawai Sonoko), born June 20, 1965, had great promise when she won the "Idol Dancepop" contest in 1983. In 1985 she joined the now legendary おニャン子クラブ (Onyanko Club). She soon released her debut solo single "Namida no Jasmine Love" that same year.
