Created in 2002, Seekonk is a folk/rock band with a dreamy sound. Seekonk consists of multi-instrumentalists Dave Noyes and Patrick Corrigan, drummer/percussionist Jason Ingalls, guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist Todd Hutchisen, vocalist Sara Ramey and bassist/keyboardist Chris Burns. They are based out of Portland, ME. .
Konk was a large Latin/Disco/Funk band who was popular on the Downtown scene in NYC in the early to mid 1980's. The band played regularly at the Mudd Club, Danceteria as well as performing at the Paradise Garage and the Loft. They released records on 99, Rough Trade, Sleeping Bag, Les Disques du Crepuscule, Celluloid and on their own Dog Brothers label. The band was started by Dana Vlcek and Shannon Dawson, who had been a charter member of Jean Michel Basquiat's band Gray. Active Suspension is a quietly brilliant little French label with a fondness for maverick electronica music.
