Crayons could be one of two bands. [1] A noisy power pop trio from Lakeland, Florida. Members include John Baker (i.e. John Crayon - Guitar, Vocals), his brother Aaron (Bass Guitar, Vocals) and Nathan Kintner (Drums). The band played its first show in June of 2002 and existed until December of 2005. During their three year existence, Crayons toured with fellow Florida bands Tres Bien! and ...So Does Plastic, playing numerous shows around Florida and the Eastern U.S. They have been described by critics as "smart," "infectious," and "a band that knows its rock history." NPR.org, April 4, 2007 - 63 Crayons produce dark, danceable psychedelia out of Athens, Georgia. Their new album is Spoils for Survivors. Charlie Johnston (guitar) began recording and performing the band's mysterious songs in his hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Suzanne Allison (bass, keys) and Ben Davis (electronics, theremin) added texture to the songs as founding members of 63 Crayons. With this lineup, the band started producing upbeat, catchy pop through an EP of home recordings, Spread the Love, and the band's first full length, Good People. Crayonsmith is the electro-flavored, indie, guitar-rock of Ciaran smith, Ruadhan O' Meara, and Ronan Jackson in Dublin, Ireland.
