There is atleast three bands known as Impaler.
(1) Impaler is a Shock Rock/Speed Metal band from Eagan, Minnesota. Formed in 1983, the band is known for their over-the-top lyrics and horror-based theatrical live shows, complete with cages, pyro and extreme amounts of blood.
(2) Impaler were a Death Metal/Grindcore band from Leamington Spa, England, originally forming under the name Carnage and releasing their first demo tape "Total Carnage" in 1988. The 3-track demo was enough to establish Carnage in the growing UK underground extreme music scene and gigs with bands such as Bolt Thrower and Arbitrater got them further...
Pale Horse and Rider was a short-lived collaboration between Jon DeRosa and Marc Gartman. Their recordings featured a variety of performers in supporting roles, including Alan Sparhawk (Low), Charles Newman (Flare), Paul Oldham (Palace Brothers) and Mike Pride. .
Het Leugenpaleis used to be a belgian radioshow on Studio Brussel, hosted by Bart Peeters and Hugo Matthijssen. In their show they had lots of crazy characters, as there were Kim De Hert (a mounted deer), Jefke De Lathouwer (a gnome who is proud of his pubic hair), Magda Vandamme (a housewife with absurd adventures), Dokter Dereiger (a medical doctor), Clement Peerens (an Antwerp rock singer/guitarist), Joe Roxy (an erotic poet), Nonkel Van Grauwel (a parody of the Belgian presenter Nonkel Bob) etc. .
