NAGISA COSMETIC is a one-shot two-person musical unit, represented by Ichikawa Nagisa (市川渚, born July 26, 1984), a Japanese street fashion model and designer, and her friend, famed Japanese electronica producer Nakata Yasutaka. Formed in Tokyo, Japan, the unit was created when Nakata discovered Ichikawa in a fashion magazine, and contacted her through her editor. Drawing influences from lounge, bossa nova, and shibuya-kei, they released their self-titled album in 2004. Due to Ichikawa's studies at a fashion college, however, the group was unofficially disbanded shortly after, and Nagisa now works as a fashion PR assistant. .

Nagisa Ni Te (渚にて, meaning "on the beach") is a psychedelic pop / folk pop duo from Osaka, Japan. Shinji Shibayama was part of psych bands Idiot O'Clock and Hallelujahs in the 1980s, then founded Org Records which he still runs, and which has released other important artists Maher Shalal Hash Baz and Naoki Zushi. It was Tori Kudo of Maher Shalal Hash Baz that helped with Nagisa Ni Te's first album "On the Love Beach".
