The members of this Russian duo, Max K. (keyboards, music, sampling, market rituals) and Leonid M. (drums, programming, sound engineering, electronic manipulations) reside in Moscow and have been involved in electronic music since 1997. They met in 1998 and formed Cyclotimia shortly thereafter with the purpose of making experimental music together. They have subsequently become one of the most respected and well-known Russian projects in the electronic scene today. Timi Yuro (born Rosemary Yuro, August 4, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois - March 30, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada) was an American soul and R&B singer. Ansambli eluaja jooksul olid seal Heigo Mirka, Toomas Kõrvits, Vello Salumets, Neeme Ninnas, Harry Kõrvits, Henry Kirspuu ja Reinhard Kristiansen helitehnikuna. Optimistid olid erilised mitme asja pärast. Esiteks polnud musitseerimine neile ainult hobi eest, vaid see oli ka elatise teenimise allikas. Teiseks olid kollektiivi liikmed muusikainimeste perekondadest või taotlesid Tallinna Muusikakoolist professionaalidiplomit. Kolmandaks erines nende iga võrreldes teiste biitansamblitega. Kui enamik selle muusikaga tegelejaid olid teismelised, siis nemad olid juba kahekümnesed. Erandiks oli vaid Harry Kõrvits, kes oli Optimistidega liitudes kõigest 12.
