The Catheters were a punk rock band from Bellevue, Washington (Seattle area) that originally formed as a 4-piece in 1995 (Brian, Derek, Paul, and James who soon swapped bands with Dave and joined Damaged Goods), playing hardcore punk in the vein of Black Flag and The Circle Jerks. Over the years toured several times with bands such as Sparta, Mudhoney, Run Run Run, Division of Laura Lee, and very often with the Murder City Devils. Catherine Russell (*1956) is a native New Yorker, born with an enviable musical pedigree. Her father, the late Luis Russell, was born in Panama and moved to New Orleans and then New York City, becoming a pioneering pianist/bandleader, and Louis Armstrong’s long-time musical director. Her mother, Carline Ray, is an outstanding bassist and vocalist and holder of advanced degrees from Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music, who has performed with Mary Lou Williams and Wynton Marsalis. Catherines Cathedral was a Gothic Rock band in Sweden in the mid 1990's. According to their entry in the discogs database they had released three albums; Flowerdust (1993), Intoxication (1994), and Equilibrium (1995) (the last two being signed under the Noxious Records label). The Cathedrals (1963-1999) The Cathedral Trio was formed in 1963 as a ministry of Rex Humbard’s Cathedral Of Tomorrow in Akron, OH. Original members included Glen Payne, Danny Coker and Bobby Clark. Catherine has been immersed in music since the age of 4. She completed a B.A. in classic piano. Afterwards, she won the Petite-Vallée contest as best singer songwriter in 2002, which led her to write her first album "Par-dessus bord" in 2004. The album won several awards such as the prestigious "Coup de coeur" of the Académie Charles-Cros in France and the award of european concert venues (Rideau) in 2005. Her second album, directed by the talented Alex McMahon, was released in January 2008. An album critically acclaimed and surely a french music album that cannot be ignored. .
