There are at least five artists with the name In Loving Memory: 1) In Loving Memory was an emotional spazzy hardcore band from Des Moines, Iowa that formed in August 1998 when the band's members were only 16-17 years old at the time. Formerly known as "Day of Atonement," ILM's initial line-up featured Brian on bass guitar, Spencer on drums, and Jordan on guitar. Justin Heuss was the original vocalist. When Justin moved to Pella, Brian took up bass and vocals. Later, they added Joe on bass, Jen on dual vocals and Tanner on second guitar. When Tanner decided to...
Hardcore/metal band from Buffalo, N.Y., U.S.A. Buried Alive took the torch lit by vocalist Scott Vogel's former bands and ran with it full force, bringing their punishing metalcore to a national audience via incessant touring, one blistering full-length album, and a posthumous release of later-era demos. Similar to genre standard-bearers Hatebreed, Buried Alive's music was stomping, plodding, and heavy. It often picked up the pace a bit to get the mosh pit moving and always strengthened by Vogel's commanding vocal presence and rather bleak lyrical topics. Buried Alive formed in Buffalo after the dissolution of Vogel's former band, Despair, who...
Memory Garden was formed in december 1992 in Kumla, Sweden. They began their carrier with some demo and EP releases which woke the interest of the small Swedish label Heathendoom Music. They then got the chance to release a MCD called "Forever" in 1995 and their first full-length album entitled "Tides" in 1996. Both CD´s were very well received among the buying public and Memory Garden got excellent reviews in magazines all over Europe. Excellent guitar harmonies and the classic clean vocals of Stefan Berglund are the outstanding trademarks of this highly talented outfit. Soon after the release of "Tides"...
Memory Man is a hip-hop producer/DJ, from Austin, Texas, by-way-of Boston. Memory Man released his first project titled Wu-Tang Clan vs. D.I.T.C. in July 2009. This virtual face-off pits two of New York's most respected and influential crews against each other in an all-out blend war. The focus is on battle rhymes and the groups' golden era material, but there's a few exceptions. The tracks alternate between Wu-Tang Clan MC's rhyming over D.I.T.C. beats and vice versa. This mix is an attempt to illustrate how evenly matched the Wu-Tang Clan and D.I.T.C. really are/were. Memory Man released his second project...
Formed in Chicago, Illinois, United States in 2001, Buried at Sea quickly snared a viciously devoted cult following with honors, amongst the devotees, of being the loudest, the slowest, the doomiest, and the most crushing band on the planet. With only one brief tour which culminated at the now legendary 2004 Emissions from the Monolith Festival performance, the band has made its impact predominantly amongst the tape traders and file sharing communities. The few that have actually experienced the band live testify wholeheartedly to those feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. Buried at Sea’s first recording project, a 2002 demo, has...
