Originally formed in 1999, PLANETA IMAGINARIO is a Spanish band from the region of Catalonia: their style is clearly oriented toward the jazz trend of prog rock, yet it is somewhat friendly to additional psychedelic touches and chamber adornments. The band's line-up has undergone through some variations, but the structure of guitar-keyboard-bass-drums plus a brass section has remained consistent. The band's debut album "¿Y Qué Me Dices?" (2004) was recorded as a septet, while the 2008 follow-up effort "Biomasa" finds the band as an octet - it all depends on the number of wind players. The band cites SOFT MACHINE,...
Here comes the new german underground popduo Planetakis - a reincarnation of german new wave mixed with up to date electrorock. Their euphoric songs will remind you of Nena on crack crossed with Kraftwerk on vodka, ranging from sugarcandy pop to highly energetic electropunk. Planetakis are hedonists who like to get totally trashed in their favourite discotheque without worrying about next days evil hangover. Their punkadelic-energetic on-stage performance is notorious for giving the audience an uber-adrenalin kick full of positive aggression. They will rock the shack next door as well as large crowds. They gave proof by opening for acts...
There are multiple artists called "Planetarium". 1) A progressive italian rock band in the early '70. Their most important Lp is "Infinity" realised in 1971, a concept album about man's life. 2) The musical endeavours of Pete Namlook (aka Air, Syn) and New Composers. Upbeat techno invoking spacial imagery; distant noise emanating from the depths of the galaxy. Intricate beats and catchy basslines. As close to "conventional" as Namlook ever went - and not even close! 3) Planetarium were a three piece rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Members were Paul Moro on drums, Shaun Scanlon on bass and vocals, Robert...
There are at least two groups called Planetary: 1) Planet, or Planetary first appeared in the hiphop duo OuterSpace, together with Crypt (Crypt the Warchild). Here's their Biog. Outerspace is the brainchild of Philadelphia MC's Planetary and Crypt the Warchild. The philosophy of Outerspace runs much deeper than music; it's literally a family. The two founding members have been friends almost since birth and found a common bond in the music they grew up on such as Gangstarr and EPMD. The Outerspace vision began to take shape in the early 90's as the duo worked tirelessly to hone the skills...
