Mohombi Nzasi Moupondo (born 28 August 1986 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo), known professionally as Mohombi, is a Swedish-Congolese R&B singer-songwriter and dancer. Mohombi is RedOne's first signing to 2101 Records in joint venture with Universal Music Group. From 2004 to 2008 Mohombi was part of the Swedish hip hop group Avalon with his brother Djo Moupondo. After Like Peter at Home career came to an end in may 2003, Raúl (guitar), Iñaki (bass & vocals) and Eduardo (drums), from Madrid, get into a new odyssey called MOHO. MOHO is the product of spending several hours in the rehearsal room and the influence of cult bands like Electric Wizard, Bongzilla, Black Sabbath, High on Fire, etc… The band starts playing live in summer 2003 receiving good critics.
