Cult electronic music producer from Hamburg. During the years 1995-1996 Taciturne published some seminal vinyl releases on Fischkopf, a leading publisher of bleeding-edge gabber and speedcore. While his musical output was somewhat limited by the strict boundaries of 8-bit amiga sequencing, he nevertheless gained recognition with a fistful of perversely brutal gabber-hymns, most prominently "Der Toten", a blood-freezing masterpiece of mental darkness which was featured on countless rave-compilations. 1998 saw the release of his opus magnum, the double-12" "Ebizeme", released on Blut records. Taciturn is the name for two different bands. 1)Taciturn is a progressive instrumental band from Des Moines, Iowa consisting of Todd Riekena on guitar, Shaun Riekena on drums and Nick Borror on bass. In the beginning of 2000, Taciturn was formed as a two piece instrumental project. In the middle of 2007, Taciturn welcomed bassist, Nick Borror of Index Case, into the mix, adding a new dimension to their unique sound and live performances.
