HeavensDust is alternative metal band from Japan. They mixes traditional Japanese melody and rhythm with alternative metal, nu-metal and rock. HeavensDust was formed in 2000 by Shinsaku, Mai and Atushi. Their goal was to create an individual sound that no other band can make. In 2003 Ajo joined and in 2004, U-ky, Yuta and Nan-Zan made the final pieces of the puzzle. By including: koto (traditional Japanese harp), shakuhachi (traditional Japanese flute) and wadaiko (traditional Japanese drums). In 2006, Kazha joined and added her beautiful voice. Ellen Kristjansdottir is an Icelandic singer. Born in San Fransisco, living in Reykjavik Iceland from age 7. Ellen has released 3 CDs in her name, 2 with her group Komboid and 3 with vocal trio Borgardaetur as well as appearing as a guest on records with many Icelandic artists. Her 2004 album Salmar won the Icelandic music award as album of the year. She has since relaesed 2 CDs to critical acclaim, the latest one, Draumey (2009), contains all original material by Ellen.
