The Positions are a six piece band from Washington DC. The band was started in 2002 by Ivan Ramiscal, formerly of DC indiepop band Barcelona, and is fronted by Nicole Stoops, who also handles the vocals in NYC-based band Charming. Bassist Armin Pruessner and drummer Reid Dossinger have also contributed to Sprites. The Positions have released their first album, Bliss!, in 2005, and have been featured on several compilations, including contributing a cover of "Every Conversation" to Still Unravished - A Tribute to The June Brides. The Propositions were a Detroit-based funk band. They started as teenagers and broke up not so much later. Influences were funk and Motown bands from the early 1970's, including Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire, Sly Stone and local predecessors the Fabulous Counts. However, they managed to create their own unique style by taking a dedicated instrumental direction and abandoning the vocals. Their final result, a tasty combination of funky drums, wah-wah guitar, and a full horn section, was certainly worth the effort. .

The Love Positions was Nic Dalton and Robyn St.Clare. They released an album (vinyl only) called Billiepeebup and a 7 inch single 'Light Of Day', which were both released in October 1990. All songs recorded on a Tascam 244 four track onto cassettes (mostly old TDK compilation tapes taped over!) in various houses in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney between 1985 and 1989. Sex Positions was born out of the defunct Boston hardcore band The Dedication. Rich Perusi Eric Marcelino and Larry Anzoni wanted to continue to play music so they formed Sex Positions. They recorded a four song demo and Larry was then replaced with John Blanchard on drums. Mark Drop from What Feeds The Fire was then added on bass to complete the line up.
