De Maskers ('The Masks') were a sixties beat/psych/rock band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, effectively a continuation of ZZ & De Maskers. The name change was a logical step following the departure of frontman Bob 'ZZ' Bouber; De Maskers carried without him, from 1966 onwards. The band silently fell apart towards the end of the 1960s, but re-united several times in the 1980s and 2000s. Skummel Maske is a guitarist from Drammen, Norway. He writes and records tracks that span across multiple genres, but typically they are rock/metal-based. He occasionally does video game covers and rearrangements for Dwelling of Duels, a monthly video game cover contest for live instruments. This contest is what made him take up recording and mixing in the first place, and has helped hone his skills ever since his debut in May 2008.
