The combination of electric and acoustic instruments with samplers and decks as well as the use of loops taken from cinematic themes and songs of the sixties and seventies define the Expert Medicine sound. The band's influences range from funk and acid-jazz to pop, freestyle and hip-hop. They sort of flirt with the atmosphere of Bristol's trip-hop scene, giving it a definite dance twist. Their debut album, Swimming Lessons, has just been released on DNA Label and features performances by two exceptional musicians, Yiorgos Kaloudis on cello and Daniel Armando on percussion. Spanish band, formed in 2005. The singer is Jota, from spanish indie band Los Planetas. Founded in 2005 by Manu Ferrón and Juan Rodríguez, aka "J" from succesful spanish indie band "Los Planetas".
