В 2000 году проект Forest трансформируется в проект Vargleide (другой вариант - Varglodr), который в течении года записывает сразу два альбома: "Только Прах, Окалину и Выжженную Землю Оставляя" и "Пожару Нового Дня". По сравнению со своим предшественником, Vargleide тонет в атмосфере сырой агрессии, практически исчезает чистый вокал и некоторые элементы мелодизма. С 2001 года Ransverdi выгнан из состава, и на данный момент будущее проекта видится в туманной перспективе. В 2005 году проект реформируется и под прежним названием записывает альбом "В Пламени Славы". Но это совсем не тот Forest, что был когда-то... Waxies Dargle are one of the many traditional Celtic folk bands to come up through London's Irish pub circuit.
