History of this Oi! punk band from Bratislava (Slovakia) started on 6th of June 2000. Three then schoolmates decided to start the punk band. Roman has taken guitar and voice, Neupi bass guitar and vocals and Andrej drums. After few weeks came second guitar player Filip. The first year the band played only occasionally and mostly in Roman's flat. This stagnancy was caused by more reasons, mainly they’ve just started to play music instruments and first experiences were missing.

In the summer 2001, band found advisable place to drill their music. It was one cool garage, where they had their home for more than 4 years. In October 2001, it was their first gig, which was in Labyrint pub, in Bratislava. It was a place, where a lot of young punk band started. Band recorded their first demo Cenzúra in Slovak broadcasting studio 12. – 14. December 2001. It contains just 5 songs and it has reflected conditions of the band those times.

First big change happened in the beginning of 2002 – their main guitar player Filip left the band because of his studies in Prague. In the summer of this year two new members join the band: Diviak – guitar player and Zelo – accordion. Afterward on 28th October 2002 the band recorded their second demo (live) Nazivo z DK Lúky. This year, there was also one more change in the band: Roman left guitar playing and he started to concentrate only on singing.

The band continue with gigs and in the spring of 2003 they traveled to Tvrdosin (Slovakia) for their first gig out of Bratislava, but when they came to the destination, police cancelled this gig (policeman said: „Action is unlicensed!"), before the band started to play. After few days the band traveled to Nove Zamky (Slovakia), where they could play, but only half of their program because police came again and gig was cancelled. First complete gig out of Bratislava, was in Malacky (Slovakia). Then, from May 24 to 26, 2003 the band recorded their first official CD Dajte mi pokoi!. It was recorded in a broadcasting studio Exponent in Sulekovo (Slovakia). This CD contains 11 songs with professional sound. In July 2003 the band played in their first festival: Punk Island vol. 2 in Dobrohost (Slovakia). 2005: In the year 2005, one member (Roman) of Cenzura founded Brutal Records . He has had there many CDs, fanzines and clothes with street, punk and Oi themes (see Brutal Records ). Song Dajte mi pokoj! was published in V/A Punk Rock Made in Slovakia vol. 4.

In the year 2006 Brutal Records issued DVD Brutal scene volume 1, where Cenzura have one song: Oi! Song. This DVD maps videos from Czech and Slovak Oi, punk and HC bands. In February and March the band recorded second official CD Rebel bez príciny (Rebel Without A Cause). It has been released under label Brutal records. The band played more gigs with international bands. At the end of the year, guitarist Dawyt from Zhoda Nahod was asked to play as a guest. Also, Peto helps band in some gigs, like a drummer.

From the beginning of the year, the band was working on the new songs and preparing new gigs. Dawyt became a regular member of Cenzura, so now, the band have 6 members. Also the marking of the band changed from “Oi Punk” to “Oi Rock”. It was caused by more reasons, but mainly by music, which is more and more influenced by more style than just punk – rock, but the core is still punk. Second reason was, that the band play Oi music and this music has been played for punx, but also for skins, and the band still believe in Unity! Song Sen was being placed on V/A SKA Collection vol.2. In October the V/A Punk Rock Made in Slovakia vol.6 was being released and the band has there song: Kolotoc II.. In December, magazine No Bollocks, Just Oi! released their second issue with band's interview and also with CD compilation: "No Bollocks, Just Oi! vol.2" - Cenzura there has song: Rudi.
