Flavio Cianciarulo was one half of the compositional partnership Flavio/Vicentico, main authors of most of the material of the seminal Latin fusion/ska group Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. You could think of Cianciarulo as the McCartney of the group, main propeller of LFC's metamorphosis from street ska punk to the sophisticated Latin jazz rock on their final albums. While Vicentico kept for himself most mellow, gentle side of their sound, Cianciarulo turned it up a notch. Recruiting a couple of exceptional instrumentalists, and taking on a wide range of genres and local sounds, from chacarera, zamba, candombe passing through son, tango to prog-rock, soul and jazz fusion.
