DJ Particle is, since 1994, the stage, club, and radio alias of Emi Briet, a radio show host, sometime disc jockey and recent novelty music artist.

Between May 1995 and August 1997, and since October 2005, she has been the host of Revenge of the Particle, which originally aired on WOMR-FM in Provincetown, Massachusetts and currently airs on Dementia Radio.

She also dabbles in standard DJ fare, having released a free MP3 remix in 2001 called Injected With A Brilliant Poison, and having done short DJ shifts at the former Club Semesters in Ithaca, New York (under the training of DJ Vinny Marrero of TC Music) and Ithaca College radio station WICB in the fall of 1994.

Since 1983, after first hearing of Dr. Demento, she has been trying her hand at writing parody lyrics of popular songs, much like "Weird Al" Yankovic (her original inspiration) or The Great Luke Ski (who she counts as her current inspiration). Although she has not released any of her lyrics from that far back, she has released lyrics that she wrote as early as 1987.

In December 2005, she started recording some of her parody songs, and she still makes mid-quality demo versions of those tracks available free for download.

In March 2006, she started appending the tag RIAA-cidal Lesbian Parodist to her official logo (the first word pronounced RYE-a-sye-dal), depicting that, like her radio show, she'll take a stand against the mainstream. The tag is an homage to lesbian pop-culture icon Hothead Paisan.
