teutonic thrash metal | pt

Teutonic thrash metal is a German thrash metal scene started in the 1980's. It is one of the four big thrash metal scenes, along with: Bay Area thrash metal, East Coast thrash metal, and Brazilian thrash metal.

It is characterised as the heaviest of the four main thrash scenes and heavily influenced death metal and black metal later on. It makes use of blast beats, tremelo picking, shred guitar, and high tempos along with the usual chracteristics of thrash metal.

It is disputed as to which artist started the teutonic thrash metal scene but two bands, Destruction from and Holy Moses, seem to stick out.
Kreator, Destruction, Sodom, Tankard and Holy Moses would become highly successful artists from this scene. .
