Mallcore is a slur used by elitists metalheads and hardcore kids, referring to all kinds of music that they don't like that can be classified under the Metal and Punk genre. Usually that which is very melodic and easily accessible and has a rather large following of young teenagers. It started out as a slur towards Nu Metal, but has since expanded to all metal/punk related music that fits these criteria. .
