MINMI é uma cantora compositora japonesa de hip-hop, reggae e produtora musical. Ela nasceu em Osaka, no dia 8 de Dezembro em 1975. Michiko Evwana, a.k.a MINMI, started her musical career around 1996 by performing at ruba dub showcases and hip hop events at the clubs in Osaka, and also started to make her original tracks around this period. Soon after, MINMI's name was well known in the club market, especially through her live performances in the club events. Minmini is a South Indian film playback singer. Her first hit song was Chinna Chinna Aasai from Mani Ratnam's award-winning 1992 Tamil feature film Roja, composed by A. R. Rahman. She has lent her voice to hit songs from films including Karuththamma (1994), and Thevar Magan (1992) where she worked with film composer Ilayaraaja.
