Ryo Kawasaki (February 25, 1947 – ) chose a career as a jazz fusion guitarist after spending some years studying as a scientist. During the 60s he played with various Japanese jazz groups and also formed his own bands. In the early 70s he came to New York where he settled and found steady work in very distinguished company, including the bands of Gil Evans, Elvin Jones, Chico Hamilton, Ted Curson and Joanne Brackeen. 갤럭시 익스프레스 (English: Galaxy Express) is a rock band which was made up in 2006 in Seoul, South Korea. Currently it consists of three members: 이주현 (Lee Joohyeon) - Bass/Vocals, 박종현 (Park Jonghyeon) - Guitar /Vocals, and 윤홍구 (Yoon Honggu) - Drums. Originally from Europe this band moved to the States. Guy Duris was actually born on the Left Bank and later met Golesorkhi, who had been decorated by the Shah of Iran for his drumming and was interested in applying Eastern rhythms to Western music, in Iran.
