Darcys are an alternative pop duo from Toronto, Canada. Currently the band consists of singer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Couse and drummer / lyricist West Marskell. The duo is the group’s original core and also what remains of an ever-evolving lineup that’s delivered close to a half dozen releases in as many years. .

Dame Darcy is primarily a graphic novelist whose published titles include Gasoline, Jane Eyre, Frightful Fairytales and the ever popular comic book series on Fantagraphics , Meat Cake. Banjo player from the age of 9, her Dad and extended family also artists and musicians from Idaho, Dame Darcy also plays autoharp, singing saw, bass, and sings. She has been in several bands with different styles of music. But comes from a faeiry/sea shanty / folk/ child ballad/ background but as a teen started doing dark wave/psychedelic/new romantic/death rock. These varied and seemingly contradictory influences gives her music its unique sound....

Darcy Clay (real name Daniel Bolton) was a New Zealand singer/songwriter, who was made famous in 1997 for his minor hit, Jesus I Was Evil, in which he recorded all instruments in his bedroom on a 4-Track recorder. He was signed to Antenna Records, and possibly was Antenna's first real star.
