Tanit foi uma banda coldwave/new wave fundada em 1981, em Paris, França. Era composta por Elsa Drezner (voz), Pascal Humbert (baixo), Thierry Bertomeu (guitarra) e Pascal Normal (bateria). Lançaram dois álbums: Can An Actor Bleed, de 1983 e To Alaska, de 1984. Posteriormente o CD 1981 - 1985, de 2007 reuniu todo o trabalho da banda, além de mais 7 faixas bônus. O grupo encerrou suas atividades nesse mesmo ano. .

Tanita Tikaram (born 12 August 1969 in Münster, Germany) British-raised artist, born to a Malaysian mother and Indo-Fijian British army officer father. She is the sister of actor Ramon Tikaram and currently resides in London, UK. As a singer-songwriter, Tikaram scored her greatest hit to date with Twist in My Sobriety, from her debut album Ancient Heart in 1988, when she was 19 years of age. INSATANITY was formed during the summer of 1992, when fellow area musicians united to create one of the most original, brutal and atmospheric bands in the metal genre to date. The band immediately began writing material for their self-titled debut demo. This brutal four-song offering was released in February of 1993, and it established INSATANITY as one of the most intense metal bands in the Philadelphia area.
