Japanese experimental duo Pardons are a mood cosmic-sound unit from the Acid Mothers Temple frontline synth siblings of Cotton Casino and Higashi Hiroshi. Another theory is that the group actually consists of Pardon Dos and Pardon Uno who bear a close resemblance to Cotton and Higashi. Pardon Dos's vocals swirl through cosmic synth sounds, backwards guitar and looped drones. While the Pardons sound may be best termed mood cosmic music, it is totally different from other avant-garde electronic music or mood music played on moogs. A Norfolk folk singer, Walter Pardon was born in 1914 in the village of Knapton. He lived in the same house all his life and was even born in it, and worked as a carpenter. In the 1970's a tape of his was heard by Peter Bellamy, another singer, and Walter Pardon became known to the wider world. .
