Diretamente de Londres, onde o produtor Adrian Sherwood se juntou formando uma parceria com o Style Scott e daí começou o surgimento do Dub Syndicate.
No seu primeiro álbum, gravado em 1982, eles tinham um som de um dub classsico mais das antigas, mas a partir do terceiro já começaram a implementar mais tecnologia em seu som. Após um tempo se juntaram com mais artistas e mantém a formação até hoje, lançaram seu ultimo álbum em 2004. Já participaram de gravações com inúmeros nomes de peso como: Lee Perry, Bim Sherman, Capleton, Jr. Reid e muitos outros.

The Syndicats were Steve Howe's first band. Their three singles on Columbia (EMI) were produced by Joe Meek. When lead guitarist Howe left for Tomorrow in 1965, he was replaced by Ray Fenwick. Fenwick plays lead-guitar on "Crawdaddy Simone". He co-wrote it with Jeff Williams, the bands' keyboardist. That song has recently been covered by The Horrors.

Alien Crime Syndicate (1997–2005) were an American alternative rock group formed by Joe Reineke in San Francisco, California before relocating to Seattle, Washington after the collapse of his previous band The Meices. The group's main lineup consisted of Reineke, bassist Jeff Rouse (Rhino Humpers) and Nabil Ayers with a number of guitarists, Jason Krevey, Mike Squires and Mike Davis, contributing and performing with the band over the years.
