O Sanctuary, formado em Seattle em 1985, foi uma descoberta do guitarrista do Megadeth, Dave Mustaine. Ele ajudou a banda a assinar com a CBS/Epic Records, produziu seu primeiro álbum, e levou-os para a estrada com o Megadeth. After the former band decided to cease in Spring 2003, Dr.Hatred the vocalist tried to start a new band. He opened up the graves of some former members and raised them up again with forbidden alchemy. The members: Dr.Hatred(vo), Alcohol(g), Vlood(g), Eucharist(b).
