Franciscus Bossinensis (fl. 1510) (Francis the Bosnian) was a composer. Although his name suggest his Bosnian origin, this is a point of historical debate. Some experts consider him a Croat and some that he was Bosniak. He lived and worked in Venice. He published two collections of his lute music (containing 126 frottolas and 46 ricercares), printed by the Venetian printing house Petrucci. .

Matthias Bossi plays drums for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, and was a member of Skeleton Key. As a founder of The Book Of Knots, a Brooklyn-based recording collective, he has had the pleasure of collaborating with Tom Waits, Mike Patton, Blixa Bargeld, and Mike Watt. Recent recording projects include albums with St. Vincent, Pretty Lights, John Vanderslice, Fred Frith, and The Tiger Lillies and Carla Kihlstedt, Matthias Bossi & Shahzad Ismaily. His solo music is available from Bandcamp and he is currently making songs and videos together with Carla Kihlstedt in a project called Rabbit Rabbit Radio. .
