Formed as White Tiger but changed name and scored a record deal with Ebony Records (in Hull) even before Steve McKay joined the band. Two LPs were released, and then Blade Runner broke contract with Ebony because of bad support, and moved to Derby and split up. Gary Jones later founded the hardrock band Phantasm along with drummer Dave Dufort (Angel Witch, Tytan), vocalist Carol Hendrix and second guitarist Mark Wilde. .
