Satanists are atheists that embrace Satan (meaning “adversary” or “opposer”) as a symbol of pride, justice, liberty, individualism, reason, creativity and carnality.
This tag is used rather broadly on Last.fm and contains some genuine musical expression of Satanic concepts, but for the most part has captured the output of pseudo-satanic musicians that mistakenly buy into the Christian definition of Satanism. Although they use Satanic imagery and symbols, their lyrics display a belief in the existence of an actual devil who they deem worthy of worship. This irrational belief in a Christian mythology exposes these devil worshippers as nothing more than Christian heretics and they are not to be confused with Satanists. .
