Les soeurs Goadec were a singing trio of three Breton sisters: Maryvonne Goadec (1900-1983), Anasthasie Goadec (c.1913-1998), and Eugénie Goadec (1909-2003). Originally from Treffrin (Côtes-d'Armor), they began to perform traditional Breton songs at festoù-noz (traditional Breton festivals of song and dance) in 1956, and gained renewed fame and popularity in the Breton revival of the 1960s. They specialised in Breton songs and gwerzioù (ballads or laments), they also developed a three-voice version of the Kan ha diskan (call-and-response singing) as songs for dancing. Amesoeurs to zespół powstały w 2004 roku. Na początku tworzył w składzie Neige i Audrey Sylvain. Muzyka tworzona przez grupę to mieszanka gwałtownego, zimnego black metalu z elementami post-punka i new wave w stylu Joy Division, wczesnego The Cure czy Depeche Mode. Zaistnieli wydając EP "Ruines Humaines" (2006) oraz split-album z Valfunde (2007). W marcu 2009 r. na światło dzienne wyszedł ich pierwszy full-length album, zatytułowany "Amesoeurs". Niedługo po wydaniu debiutanckiego albumu zespół rozpadł się. W grudniu 2011 pojawiła się informacja o reaktywacji grupy. Drugi album ma się ukazać w pierwszej połowie 2013 roku. Les sœurs Boulay (Mélanie Boulay and Stéphanie Boulay), from Gaspésie, Quebec, grew up in a musical family and began their training at young ages.
