The Lucky Stiffs are a punk rock band from San Francisco, California. They released a split with the Bouncing Souls that got them on the charts, and put out Gold in Peace, Iron in War on Pirate Press Records in 2006. .

Stiffed was a Philly PA based punk rock band started circa 2002 and ended 2007 with lead singer Santi White (now of Santigold). Their initial EP Sex Sells was released in 2003, and a debut album Burned Again was released in 2005 and was produced by Darryl Jennifer of Bad Brains for the Outlook Music Company label. When Santi went on to release more electronic pop solo material, her initial effort was produced by fellow Stiffed member John White aka Johnny Rodeo of Shitake Monkey. The Stiffs were a mod / punk / power pop band from late 70s and early 80s. A name unfamiliar to most, so let me elucidate. Hailing from Blackburn in Lancashire, they started gigging in 1977 although it would be 1980 before they secured a recording contract. A trifle late, as their style (at least initially) was decidedly punk. Like on the opening track Crazy Mixed-Up Emotion from 1981, with a great hookline and chorus. Like any up and coming band, they managed to secure a BBC "John Peel" session, which included the great Hook In Your Heart and Standing...
