Composer Sheldon Mirowitz has scored more than fifty film and TV projects. He has been nominated three times for an Emmy Award for best music, most recently for the score to the A&E movie "The Nazi Officer's Wife". His credits include the score to the Oscar-nominated "Troublesome Creek", winner of both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance (soundtrack available on Daring/Rounder Records), and the score for the Peabody Award winning mini-series "Odyssey of Life" (soundtrack available on Windham Hill/BMG). Led by guitarist Richard Pinhas, the French group Heldon released seven groundbreaking albums, melding electronic and rock forms, from 1974 to 1978. Pinhas also recorded six albums under his own name. Pinhas was heavily influenced by Robert Fripp; this shows in his guitar playing, and in the titles of several of his compositions. While early LPs sometimes evoked the sound of Fripp and Eno, Heldon evolved in its own direction with heavy use of Mellotrons and Moog synthesizers and a Fripp influenced guitar tonality. Formed in South Carolina and hitting the music scene hard in 1994, Sheldon has continuously floored audiences from Florida and Georgia, through the Carolinas, to Tennessee and Virginia. "Sandi Sheldon" is Kendra Spotswood from Englewood, New Jersey and is the singer of the Northern Soul favourite on Okeh records You're Gonna Make Me Love You/Baby You're Mine. She also recorded under the name Kenni Woods with her regular producer Van McCoy and the two of them made a single under the name of The Fantastic Vantastics. .
