Nancy Zeltzman's website describes Marimolin as follows. ``Violinist Sharan Leventhal and marimbist Nancy Zeltsman founded Marimolin in October of 1985 almost as soon as they met. That month, they performed Robert Aldridge's Combo Platter for violin, alto saxophone and marimba (written for Zeltsman in 1983). In May 1986, the formal debut recital of Marimolin in Boston was recorded by WGBH-Radio. The "dynamic duo" (coined by The Boston Globe) continued to be extremely active until they disbanded in 1996.
