Northern Kings to nowy (powstały w 2007r.) fiński zespół, w skład którego wchodzą muzycy czterech bardzo dobrze znanych zespołów: J. Ahola z Teräsbetoni, Tony Kakko z Sonata Arctica, J-P Leppäluoto z Charon oraz Marco Hietala z Tarot i Nightwish.
Koncepcją zespołu było stworzenie grupy, która będzie się czymś wyróżniać - oprócz tego, że grają metal symfoniczny i aranżują utwory pochodzące z lat 80tych w metalowe kawałki, wszyscy panowie są frontmanami swoich macierzystych kapel.

In 1982 the Northern Cree Singers were founded by Steve Wood, and his brothers Randy and Earl Wood. The Northern Pikes began their career in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in early 1984. Over the next two years, the band recorded and released the independent EPs 'The Northern Pikes' and 'Scene In North America' with producer and pal Mitch Barnett.
