The Portland musician and ritual artist known as Soriah first came into being more than 10 years ago. His unique vision has evolved to draw equally from performance and musical traditions both modern and ancient— raga, shamanism, the revisionist arts of electro-acoustics, noise, butoh, and free improvisation. One element which pervasively informs his work, is traditional Tuvan throat singing. Soriah has extensively trained in, and received recognition for his achievements with, this style of overtone singing. Dimitrios Kountouris a.k.a. Andreikelos is a Greek based producer and DJ. He has been involved in the local scene since 1996 when his first rap band, “Apokalypsis” was formed and has become one of the most known local underground beat makers as well as engineers. After releasing three full-length albums with “Apokalypsis”, in 2007 Andreikelos releases his first album called “The Tides of Time”, featuring some of the most talented Greek MCs. Skelocrats sees Land Lovers’ Padraig Cooney, Grand Pocket Orchestra’s Bronwyn Murphy-White and Paddy Hanna, Groom’s Michael Stevens combine in 2012, as Skelocrats from Dublin, Ireland. Their free-to-download Whip Crack Away EP is not radically different from other bands on the label but it is equally as sweet with boy/girl harmonies, different singers taking the lead on songs and lo-fi production. The songs were written by Padraig while recuperating from an operation earlier in the year. .
