Kaspars Dimiters is a Latvian songwriter, poet and painter. Since the late 1980’s Dimiters has released a wide variety of records in folk rock/singer-songwriter vein, garnering special acclaim for albums Krusta skola, Pēdējais pirāts and Dzīvie uz salas. Apart from his solo career, Dimiters has also written lyrics for numerous stage productions and published two books of poetry. Over the years he has gained a controversial reputation for being actively outspoken about various social issues, including gay rights, role of organized religion and national politics. .

Johann Kaspar Mertz (August 17, 1806 - October 14, 1856) was a Hungarian guitarist and composer. János Gáspár Mertz was born in Pozsony, Hungary. He was active in Vienna (c.1840~1856), which had been home to various prominent figures of the guitar, including Anton Diabelli, Mauro Giuliani, Wenceslaus Matiegka and Simon Franz Molitor. BIO: Long-time midwesterner Thomas Comerford started Kaspar Hauser while living in Iowa City in 1999. Though he’d played guitar, written songs and played in bands since the age of ten, with influences ranging from the Beatles to the Meat Puppets to Will Oldham, his only releases were hand-held tape recordings handed out to friends.
