Deandre Brackensick (born October 21, 1994 in San Jose, California) is an American singer and one of the Top 13 finalists for the eleventh season of American Idol 2012. Brackensick is currently a senior at Oak Grove High School and was elected homecoming king. He is an active participant in Oak Grove High School's Theater Arts program and is the president of the school's Polynesian Club. Brackensick auditioned in San Diego, California. 1) Bracken is the solo project of Chris Adams, lead singer of Indie/Experimental band Hood, blending dubby beats, autumnal melodies and cut up vocals.
