The son of a preacher, Winston was born in 1957, in the hills of Manchester parish, near Christiana, in Jamaica. His parents were very fond of music and it was only natural for him to sing in church. After his father died in 1971, Winston left his native home and moved to Kingston, where his sister was a teacher. Meses despues presenta "Manzana de metal, ep", su segundo trabajo con Altocamet , precedido por varias ediciones en vinilo y remixes en con algún tema editado por Shinichi y remixado por Swayzak , Hernán Cattaneo y Martin Garcia. En 2004 remixó a Gustavo Cerati para su doble disco de reversiones. Su último album se titula "Serie Dorada", .

Matthew McAnuff was a Jamaican reggae artist, son of Winston McAnuff. He was murdered in 2012. A police report said he had another man had a dispute. The dispute reportedly turned physical, and the man was injured. Residents then allegedly attacked McAnuff and chopped him several times after accusing him to be a policeman. He was on his way to making it in roots-reggae circles. His Earl 'Chinna' Smith-produced song, Be Careful, has been doing the rounds on the French charts. In 2013 an album with his old material has been released, entitled Be Careful. .
