Snowy studied Electronics and Electronic Music at the University of Hertfordshire. He then worked for Solid State Logic for a number of years in various engineering roles. Snowy Shaw, born Tommie Helgesson in 25 July 1968, is a Swedish heavy metal musician (primarily a drummer), based in the port city of Gothenburg in the west coast of Sweden. He has played with many heavy metal bands, like King Diamond, Dream Evil, Mercyful Fate, IllWill, Notre Dame and Memento Mori. Snowy Red was a one-man minimal wave/synth band out of Belgium consisting of former Chainsaw (~1976) and Fame (~1978) member, Marcel Thiel, better known as Micky Mike. Though mostly a solo project, Micky Mike sometimes worked with other notables from the minimal wave/post-punk Brussels movement. Niki Mono joined up with Mike in 1983 before going on to work with Winstong Tong and other members of Tuxedomoon and Minimal Compact.
